The “sensor bee” can be used to investigate how bees process external stimuli and how their social behaviour is represented in the brain, undated photo. Researchers from higher education institutions in Germany, Italy and France launched a study to determine which of a honeybee's brain cells were activated by smells and how this information was distributed.
